Storm Water Damages a Livermore House
This small space under the stairs in a Livermore home received a drenching from contaminated groundwater. The Before Photo shows the carpet and walls after the water has been removed. The pathogens and contaminants remain, although unseen. Our SERVPRO team can do a controlled demolition to remove and discard the flooring and wall materials. The exposed cinder blocks and fur strippings can be dried with the air mover. Then our techs can apply an antimicrobial agent to exterminate the remaining microbes and also inhibit the growth of mold. We check the hollow cells of the blocks with a special moisture meter to ensure that the storm-damaged area is dry to standard levels before we leave the jobsite for good.
