Basement Flooding Cleanup in Livermore

The groundwater from a severe rainstorm accessed this Livermore basement via the bulkhead door and a window lacking a well. SERVPRO responded within hours to begin the contaminated water extraction from this unfinished basement. The Before Photo shows the depth to be about two inches. We set up a submersible pump along with our truck-mounted extractor to remove most of the water within an hour or so. Our team did relocate some of the contents to prevent wicking of water or rusting. The After Photo shows the basement four days later. Though the groundwater was removed quickly, the drying of the concrete pad and the hollow cells of the cinder block foundation walls takes time and advanced equipment.
